Role: Finance & Accounts Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented finance professional to handle end to end finance operations and provide assistance to our portfolio entities as and when needed.

Experience Required: 0-2 years of experience in handling Accounts (Tally or QuickBooks)

Location: Bangalore

What you will do:

  • Assist with bookkeeping (Tally), inter-company transactions, invoicing and pay-roll, GST, TDS, PT, PF related activities/ compliance
  • Work with startups in the portfolio and assist them in formalising business plans, and track their performance against defined goals. Put together relevant metrics in support of tracking and measurement.
  • Oversee government, legal, and regulatory requirements along with diligent record keeping and compliance with all necessary laws/guidelines
  • Tax due diligence - Identify, highlight and quantify material historical and potential tax exposures / benefits and issues involving risk of the target
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization's and portfolio entities needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed
  • Prepare year-end books for audit
  • Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements
  • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding budgets, disbursement and other finance related queries
  • Any other assigned duties with respect to review of Tally/ Accounts, GST returns, TDS returns etc

Our ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with some experience in accounting and finance
  • Hands-on experience with Tally or QuickBooks for managing accounts and bookkeeping
  • Strong knowledge of GST, including return filing, reconciliations, and compliance
  • Good understanding of tax and regulatory laws (Income Tax Act, stamp duty, etc.)
  • Experience working in a Fund, Big 4, consulting firm, or similar organization preferred
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, persistent, and persuasive with a proactive approach
