Job Summary
We are looking for new technicians (independent contractors) to supply our clients with technical services such as machine installation, equipment rebuilds, and embedded maintenance support. We seek mobile, experienced, and autonomous people with a strong technical background in the packaging industry.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be experienced with pneumatics, mechanical drive systems, hydraulics circuits, and light electrical experience.
- Must have industrial maintenance experience on either packaging or food processing machinery.
- Experience needed on either blow molding, injection molding, filling, labeling, or palletizing equipment. Experience with Krones, Sidel, Husky, KHS, Uniloy, or Nissei is a plus.
- Must be able to maintain positive customer relationships through strong communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
- Work overtime as needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Must have a laptop, and be proficient on/with email, Microsoft products, i.e. word, excel, pdf etc.
- Ability to visually and mentally make priority decisions / judgement calls based on the situation at hand.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to communicate with co-workers and vendors, read work instructions, job procedures and manuals, and document information.
- Must be willing to travel at least 75%.
Candidate Education And/or Experience Requirements
- Minimum High School graduate.
- Trade certification in a Mechanical Field preferred.
- Minimum 8 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
- Previous industrial maintenance or plastic packaging experience.
Technical Knowledge Skills
- Previous experience in a field service environment.
- Previous experience in a packaging manufacturing environment.
- Communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability is a must.
- Experience with hand tools is required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
