Role Overview

We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for on-site deployments, commissioning, testing, technical support, and field-level data collection for our machine vision and automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with internal engineering teams and customers to ensure successful implementation, smooth operation, and high service quality across client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Field Deployment & Technical Support

  • Support on-site deployment of Robro's machine vision and automation systems at customer locations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during installation, commissioning, and post-deployment stages.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of field activities.

Commissioning & Testing

  • Perform system commissioning, validation, and testing at customer sites.
  • Ensure proper installation, calibration, and functionality of equipment and systems before handover.
  • Assist in resolving hardware and software issues during implementation.

Data Collection & Training

  • Conduct data collection activities as per internal guidelines and project requirements.
  • Support customer-side training for basic system operation and usage.
  • Assist in gathering field feedback to improve system performance and usability.

In-House Development & Support

  • Contribute to in-house development support activities related to automation systems, testing setups, or process improvements.
  • Assist in panel wiring, setup preparation, and hardware integration tasks as required.

Customer Coordination

  • Maintain professional communication with clients during visits and support interactions.
  • Ensure high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the automation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical automation panels and wiring.
  • Understanding of electrical panel building, circuit diagrams, and design concepts.
  • Familiarity with hardware systems, sensors, cameras, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow technical diagrams, instructions, and process documentation.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.

Preferred

  • Ability and willingness to learn optics, machine vision, and industrial inspection systems.
  • Exposure to basic Linux and industrial software tools.
  • Familiarity with Delta PLC, HMI, sensors, and industrial cameras.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new software and technology products.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
