The engineer is expected to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on DCS/PLC/SCADA systems at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including backup, modification, report submission, and supervision of system cleaning.
- Conduct corrective maintenance to restore system faults.
- Support during shutdown maintenance activities.
- Handle logistics management:
- Carry necessary materials to site.
- Manage Material IN and OUT at customer premises with proper documentation.
- Perform PC troubleshooting and network support.
- Handle extensive documentation tasks (approx. 40%).
- Execute special tasks as required.
- Apply strong knowledge of DCS and PLC with hands-on experience.
- Demonstrate matured skills in independent troubleshooting/problem resolution on automation platforms.
- Understand customer needs and provide remote or on-site support to ensure prompt issue resolution aligned with Honeywell's processes and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Plan site visits per agreed SLAs and align them with regional/central revenue plans.
- Travel required 80% to 90% of the time across India.
- Remain available 24x7 for support during emergencies.
- Execute service projects and system migrations.
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Identify prospects, conduct pre-sales site assessments, and convert them into business leads.
- Explore opportunities for migrations and add-ons, and proactively offer relevant solutions.
- Adhere strictly to ISO, HSE, commercial guidelines, and all Honeywell process compliances.
- Act as the single point of contact for designated customer needs.
- Added advantage: Knowledge of Honeywell systems.
- Be open to assignment as a Site Support Specialist (Resident Support Engineer) when required.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Willing to work as a Site Support Specialist (Resident Support Engineer) 24x7, 365 days (excluding standard leave entitlements).
- Ready for deployments to offshore platforms (e.g., ONGC) for approximately 45 days per visit, with return frequency after 30 days as per site requirements.
- Note: Compensatory offs are not applicable.
- Available for 24x7 support without exceptions.
- Willing to work at Western Region sites (e.g., Maharashtra, MP, Karnataka) as a Service Engineer when not on resident duty.
- Must follow office processes accurately and on time.
- Should demonstrate politeness and effective communication skills in all interactions.
- Expected to comply with the leave process and frequency as per regional standards.
