We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated team to look after our customers in Kerala/Bangalore. You will be responsible for providing on-site support to customers that entails installation and service of instrumentation, after-hours remote support, holiday and weekend on-site support, marketing, exhibitions and application trial support. This role is based at Kochi and mainly remote with reporting to Regional Field Service Manager.

Key responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Responsible for repair, installation, and timely maintenance of LBS equipment at customer sites.
  • Provide complete Technical Support to customer as per the need.
  • Provide instrument installation, maintenance, modification, repair, check-up and training activities on the customer site, service workshops, exhibitions or Sales Demos.
  • Take complete ownership of the customers in area and drive a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a first time fix.
  • Provide training to customers and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems to contribute to the overall team success.
  • Remote monitoring of customer instruments, parameters, and processes (where applicable) to support service planning and execution
  • Demonstrate critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to rapidly repair instrument related issues.
  • Make and follow PM schedule for planned services for contract and warranty customers in area.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance calls at customer sites within prescribed time frame and established performance standards.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Degree in Electronics / Instrumentation /Biomedical/ Mechatronics Engineering or Diploma in Engineering in Electronics & Communication.
  • 2-3 years experience in health care / biomedical /handling Medical Devices or Research Instruments in hospitals or research or CROs/ Manufacturing Medical devices or Research Instruments with onsite experience
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems and related office tools like PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Cross functional work experience in customer care, logistics and finance
  • Experience in resolving customers problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting
