We are looking for a driven and ambitious Field Sales Representative to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth across assigned territories.
Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Field Sales Representative based in New Delhi for an on-site role. This is a pure field sales role focused on lead generation, client acquisition, relationship building, and closing deals. The ideal candidate should be proactive, target-oriented, and comfortable with extensive travel and customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry) or Engineering
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage
- 1-4 years of experience in field sales, preferably in scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, diagnostics, or medical devices
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to achieve targets and close deals
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment or related technical expertise is a plus
- Proficiency in market research and customer needs analysis
- Problem-solving abilities, time management, and a results-driven attitude
- Willingness to travel frequently and manage fieldwork independently
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through field visits, cold calling, referrals, exhibitions, and scientific conferences
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across pharmaceutical companies, research labs, hospitals, biotech firms, universities, and government institutions
- Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations, and solution presentations
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, follow up consistently, and close purchase orders
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Manage existing accounts for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities
- Handle government procurement and tender processes including GeM, DSIR, DST, and institutional purchases
- Coordinate with internal service and operations teams for smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Maintain daily CRM updates, visit reports, and competitor insights
- Track market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities
