Role Overview
The Sales Manager – E‑Rickshaw Business will lead demand generation, field sales execution, and channel expansion for Yuma's battery‑swapping network. This role demands strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the e‑rickshaw ecosystem, including competitive dynamics and customer behavior.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand Generation & Offline Campaigns
- Develop, execute, and measure innovative, results‑oriented demand programs and offline marketing initiatives.
- Run targeted outreach activities to drive awareness and adoption of Yuma's battery‑swapping solutions.
2. Field Team Management
- Manage and motivate a team of field executives responsible for lead generation and on‑ground activations.
- Track performance metrics and ensure consistent achievement of lead, funnel, and onboarding targets.
3. Customer Engagement & Communication
- Communicate value propositions, pricing, and offers to e‑rickshaw drivers and communities with clarity and impact.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication.
4. Sales Funnel Ownership & Revenue Delivery
- Build a strong, scalable sales funnel to onboard new users.
- Drive lead nurturing and conversion to ensure onboarding and revenue goals are met.
5. Negotiation & Relationship Management
- Lead negotiations with external stakeholders, channel partners, fleet owners, and local stakeholders to ensure favourable outcomes for Yuma.
- Develop trust-based relationships that support long-term adoption and retention.
6. Market Understanding & Competitive Analysis
- Continuously study market trends, customer behavior, and e‑rickshaw ecosystem dynamics.
- Monitor competitive activities, pricing, offers, and positioning; leverage insights to strengthen Yuma's market presence.
- Provide timely feedback to leadership for product and strategy refinement.
7. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to design programs that enhance the marketing database and sales pipeline.
- Share field insights to improve product offerings and operational processes.
8. Channel Partner & Franchise Expansion
- Identify, onboard, and nurture channel partners to expand the Yuma franchise model across new geographies.
- Clearly articulate the business value and benefits of partnering with Yuma.
Requirements
- 2–8 years of experience in lead generation, offline marketing campaigns, field sales management, or related domains.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand markets and competitors.
- Willingness to work from field and office locations as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
