Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and field-oriented Field Sales Executive with an agriculture background who can build strong relationships with farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and rural suppliers to source agricultural waste materials for our Biogas and Biomass projects.
The role requires extensive fieldwork, farmer engagement, sourcing agricultural residues, and coordinating procurement and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with farmers, farmer groups (sanghatans/samooh), FPOs, and agri-waste suppliers.
- Conduct field visits to farms and rural locations to source agricultural waste materials.
- Organize farmer meetings, village visits, and awareness sessions to build sourcing networks.
- Source agricultural waste materials such as:
-Cotton stalk
-Paddy straw
-Sugarcane bagasse
-Rice husk
-Wheat straw
-Groundnut shells and other farm residues.
- Inspect and assess the quality and usability of agricultural waste for biomass and biogas applications.
- Negotiate with farmers and suppliers on price, quantity, and supply timelines.
- Coordinate the complete procurement cycle including collection, transportation, warehouse storage, and delivery.
- Maintain records of farmer contacts, sourced materials, quantities, and procurement transactions.
- Track crop cycles and seasonal waste availability to plan sourcing activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for logistics, inventory management, and client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
- B.Sc. Agriculture / Agri-Business Management / Agriculture-related degree preferred
- Diploma or graduate in agriculture-related fields may also be considered.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in agriculture-related companies such as:
- Agri-input companies (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides)
- Tractor or agri-equipment companies
- Irrigation systems (drip / sprinkler)
- Agri-processing or farm supply chain companies
- Experience in farmer engagement, agri sourcing, rural marketing, or agri supply chain will be preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of agriculture practices and crop cycles
- Ability to build relationships with farmers and rural communities
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Fluency in Marathi (mandatory); Hindi and English are an advantage
- Ability to work independently in field environments
- Basic knowledge of agricultural residues and farm by-products (preferred)
- Basic MS Office / reporting skills

- Must own a two-wheeler (bike)
- Valid driving license
- Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas
- Comfortable working in outdoor and field-based roles
