Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Application Engineer based in Chennai. The Field Application Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, assisting with the application of products, and troubleshooting technical issues. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing customer requirements, offering tailored machine vision solutions, conducting product presentations, and supporting the sales team with technical expertise. The role demands close collaboration with clients and the internal team to ensure seamless integration of OPT's products in customer applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Field Applications and Technical Support roles, with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
• Strong background and expertise in Analog and Electronics engineering.
• Familiarity with Sales processes and an ability to provide technical consultation during pre-sales and post-sales stages.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in customer-facing environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of machine vision technology or factory automation is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required for customer and project support.
• Candidate should be expertise in any computer language.
