We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English IGCSE Facilitator to join our academic team. The facilitator will be responsible for teaching English language and literature to students preparing for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams. This role requires a deep understanding of the IGCSE curriculum, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the IGCSE English language and literature syllabus.
Ensure the curriculum is taught effectively, adapting to students needs and learning styles.
Student Assessment
Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Guide students in exam preparation, including practice exams, mock tests, and revision sessions.
Classroom Management
Create a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
Manage student behavior effectively, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Student Support
Provide additional support and guidance to students struggling with course material, including individual or small-group tutorials.
Offer advice and encouragement to students regarding exam strategies, time management, and study techniques.
Parent Communication
Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, performance, and behavior.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and provide updates on student achievements and areas for improvement.
Professional Development
Stay up-to-date with developments in IGCSE English curriculum and exam procedures.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching methods and subject knowledge.
Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues in the English department and other subject areas to ensure interdisciplinary learning and cohesive educational experiences.
Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum.
