Responsibilities

Job Title: Engineering Manager Public Cloud (GTE/CLD/PCL Team)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Feature Engineering Manager experience ranging between 12-18 years, to lead our public cloud foundations team, driving innovation and operational excellence across AWS and Azure environments/products. This role involves managing a feature team or multiple components across teams, ensuring high-quality delivery of cloud-based solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Delivery
  • Manage a complete feature team or multiple components across teams.
  • Oversee application/project delivery with medium to high criticality.
  • Ensure timely and quality project delivery by managing team performance and priorities.
  • Coach teams to adhere to clear constraints in delivery plans.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with Product Owners and key business stakeholders.
  • Provide product vision and strategic direction to the team.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Drive budget and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Contribute to Service Platform-level OKRs and collaborate with other feature teams.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Promote best practices in cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitHub Actions, monitoring tools).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Certifications: SAFe or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, analyzing budget, time, cost, scope, quality, risk, and resources.
  • Excellent understanding of business domain, operating environment, constraints, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams for high performance.

Soft Skills

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across teams.

Mastery of Agile methodology is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed, cross-country team
