As our expansion journey progresses, we are actively looking for a dynamic and passionate Fashion Merchandiser to become a valuable part of our vibrant team.
Position Overview:
As a fashion merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, managing inventory
levels and overseeing production process to ensure timely delivery with good quality. This dynamic position requires expertise in inventory management, achieving production targets and making various business MIS.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product and assortment planning
Develop seasonal product assortments, considering factors such as style, color, size, and price point,
to curate a diverse and cohesive product range that reflects BownBee's brand aesthetic
2. Vendor Management
Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure
timely delivery, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Production Oversight
Coordinate with vendors and production teams to oversee the production process from concept to
delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards, specifications, and timelines.
4. Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels, production schedules, and lead times to ensure adequate stock availability
while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
5. Online Visual Merchandising
Conceptualize and execute visually compelling product presentations, for online channels, to enhance
product visibility and drive sales.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, e-commerce, and operations,
to ensure alignment of merchandising strategies with overall business objectives.
7. Performance Analysis: Analyse sales data, production metrics, and vendor performance to evaluate
the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related
field.
Proven experience in fashion merchandising, vendor management, and production oversight,
preferably within the apparel retail or e-commerce industry.
Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Creative flair and an eye for detail with a passion for fashion and design.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other merchandising soware/tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple
priorities.
