About the Role
We are hiring a Virtual Garment Prototyping Specialist (3D & AI) to drive our virtual-first, on-demand garment development process. The role focuses on creating production-ready 3D garments, accurate 2D patterns, and high-quality e-commerce visuals, significantly reducing reliance on physical samples and traditional photoshoots. This is a high-impact technical role requiring expert-level proficiency in 3D garment software, strong pattern-making knowledge, and hands-on experience using AI tools for design ideation and content creation.
Responsibilities
- Develop production-ready 2D patterns and 3D garment simulations using CLO 3D / Style3D
- Ensure accurate fit, grading, and construction aligned with size charts and specifications
- Digitize fabrics, trims, and materials with realistic drape, texture, and color accuracy
- Maintain and manage a digital fabric and trim library linked to available inventory
- Use AI tools to generate and optimize prints, embroidery concepts, silhouettes, and colorways
- Create photorealistic 3D renders and videos for e-commerce and marketing
- Generate complete digital tech packs, including patterns, grading, BOM, and construction notes
- Ensure high accuracy between virtual garments and first physical samples
- Support high-volume design output through templates, automation, and efficient workflows
Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Garment Technology, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in 3D garment development and pattern making
- Strong exposure to manufacturing-ready virtual garments and tech packs
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in CLO 3D and/or Style3D (mandatory)
- Strong expertise in 2D pattern drafting, grading, and garment construction
- Proven experience in 3D garment simulation and fit validation
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, fashion AI platforms)
- Solid understanding of fabric physics and material digitization
- Experience creating photorealistic virtual garment renders
- Ability to manage digital assets and basic inventory/fabric data (Excel or similar)
- Portfolio required showcasing 3D garments, patterns, and tech packs
