Role Description
Design & Development
- Create innovative designs, including apparel and accessories that align with brand aesthetics and market trends.
- Develop technical specifications, sketches, and prototypes for new products.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs meet fit and manufacturing requirements.
Trend Research
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, and technologies in menswear.
- Analyse competitor products and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
- Stay updated on advancements in fabric technology, sustainable materials, and production techniques.
Material Selection
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories that enhance lifecycle, durability, and style.
- Work with suppliers to source high-quality, innovative materials that meet design and functional requirements.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with senior designers and the production team to bring innovative and appealing menswear designs to market.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with manufacturing teams to ensure accurate production and quality control.
Technical Design
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design.
- Ensure all designs meet the brand's fit, quality, and performance standards.
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and revisions to ensure the final product meets design intent.
Skill Requirements
- Strong knowledge of fabric materials, design details, and fabric construction
- Ability to produce sketches, mock-ups, and digital renderings
- Understanding of fabric applications and trims
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams to design innovative, on-trend collections
Qualifications
- Passion for creating mood boards and conducting market research
- Ability to contribute to product development and menswear design
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and menswear design principles
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is a must
- Knowledge of CLO 3D and V-Stitcher is an added advantage
- Freshers preferred
Compensation & Work Structure
Remuneration: 325,000 per annum
Holidays: 12 days per year
Work Timings: 10:30 AM 7:00 PM
Work Days: Monday to Saturday; Saturday is Work From Home
