Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer located in Noida. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for

• Studying market trends in the apparel industry
• Development of samples based on pre-decided and approved styles by founding team
• Overseeing pattern making and sample/proto development to ensure proper fit and quality standards and coordinating with necessary suppliers.

The Senior Fashion Designer will work very closely with the following team members:

• Head Fashion Designer and the founding team to finalise the design strategy for all collections
• Textile Design Team for print placement as per the styles and patterns.
• Production Manager to ensure smooth transition from sampling to production
• Merchandiser for procurement
• Pattern Master for style development
• Fabric, Trim and Embroidery vendors to develop and procure samples for new collections

The Fashion Designer may be required to represent the organisation during trade shows and exhibitions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Fashion Design from a leading institute in India
• 2-3 years of experience working with garment manufacturers/retailers, in the womenswear western category
• Extensive knowledge and experience in working with fabrics - knits and woven both - as well as different embroidery techniques - schiffli, hand embroidery, machine embroidery
• Ability to create unique and innovative designs
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in the fashion industry
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

This role sits within a growing and fast paced environment. As we enter our third year of operations, we are looking for a dynamic individual who is willing to get their hands dirty to create and implement innovative designs for multiple product ranges that will be launched in the upcoming year including but not limited to swimwear, knitwear, accessories, home furnishing and Indian ethnic wear.
