Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in New Delhi with Naukripay Group for one of its client partners in the fashion and apparel sector. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop clothing and accessory designs from initial sketches through final samples, ensuring that styles align with brand direction and market trends. Daily responsibilities include researching fabrics and textiles, creating mood boards, preparing technical drawings, and collaborating with pattern makers, sampling units, and production teams to achieve the desired fit and finish. The role involves coordinating fittings, refining garment construction, incorporating embroidery and surface embellishments, and ensuring quality standards are met for each collection. The Fashion Designer will also support merchandising and marketing teams with design inputs for lookbooks, catalogues, and visual presentations as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Fashion Design and Fashion concept development skills, including sketching, trend interpretation, and collection building.
- Solid knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, drape, durability, and suitability for different garments.
- Hands-on experience with Embroidery and surface ornamentation techniques for both traditional and contemporary designs.
- Proficiency in Fitting, garment construction understanding, and ability to collaborate closely with pattern and sampling teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
- Ability to use design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, CAD tools) for technical sketches and presentation boards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, aesthetic sense, and ability to work under timelines for seasonal collections.
- Effective communication, teamwork skills, and willingness to work on-site with cross-functional teams in New Delhi.
