Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Fashion Designer. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented fashion designer to execute the design development of our brand's collection. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of style, a passion for modern women's fashion, and experience designing formal, western wear and occassion wear that blends elegance with commercial appeal. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating unique fashion pieces and developing new designs, working on textiles and embroidery, and ensuring proper fitting of garments. The role involves staying updated with current fashion trends, sourcing fabrics and materials, creating sketches, and overseeing the production process to ensure that all designs meet the brand's high standards.

Requirements

• Skills in Fashion Design, drapping and pattern making
• Research global fashion trends, colors, fabrics and silhouttes
• Proficient with ability to sketch and illustrate fashion ideas and designs
• Ability to design and develop new collections for upcoming seasons
• To design western wear and designer collections according to our brand ethos
• Create seasonal mood boards and concepts aligned with the brand aesthetics and brand identity
• Staying current with fashion industry market trends
• Range and Assortment planning
• Knowledge and experience with Textiles, Print, Embroidery, crafts, surface development and embellishments
• Overseeing garment construction, Production and ability to ensure proper Fitting of garments
• Strong creative and artistic abilities
• Excellent attention to detail, color, silhouettes and quality control
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to create quality pieces
• Excellent communication skills, highly creative and proactive mindset

Qualifications

• A bachlor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a reputed institution is preferred
• Experience of working for Contemporary western wear or Premium designer wear brands
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Carel Draw, and other CAD tools
• Relevant industry experience for atleast 2 years is a plus
