About Dora Dori

Dora Dori is a modern Indian women's wear brand launched in 2023, building a contemporary wardrobe rooted in Indian craft and tailored for how Indian women actually live today. We sell across Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, and doradori.com (launching soon), and we're scaling fast.

We're also backed by a 30-year garment manufacturing legacy. Our sister company Cheer Sagar exports to brands like Mango, MUJI, and Walmart from the same Jaipur campus — which means our designers don't just sketch and hope. You get sampling, fits, and production loops that most early-stage labels can only dream of.

The Role

We're looking for a Fashion Designer to own collections end-to-end. You will be the design function at Dora Dori — concepting, sketching, sourcing, fitting, and shepherding every piece from mood board to marketplace. You'll work directly with the founder (Priyanshi) and our in-house sampling and production teams.

This is the right job for someone who has spent 3–5 years in a design role and is ready to lead — to be the person whose name is on the collection, not the person executing someone else's vision.

What you'll do

• Own seasonal collection design from concept through tech pack — silhouettes, prints, colourways, trims, fabrics
• Translate the Dora Dori aesthetic (modern Indian, refined, wearable) into a cohesive seasonal point of view
• Build and maintain detailed tech packs; partner closely with pattern masters, sampling, and production
• Lead fittings and approve samples; sign off on quality before bulk
• Source fabrics and trims, primarily from the Jaipur and Surat clusters
• Read sell-through and customer feedback from Myntra, Nykaa, and Shopify, and let it sharpen the next collection
• Keep a finger on the pulse of Indian women's wear, social commerce, and the craft revival happening across the country

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years designing women's wear — ideally modern Indian, fusion, or contemporary Indian categories
• NIFT, Pearl or equivalent design school background preferred
• A portfolio that shows range — prints, embroidery, drape — and a clear personal point of view
• Fluency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and standard tech-pack workflows
• Confidence running fittings and giving precise direction to pattern masters and tailors
• Comfort with the texture of D2C: small MOQs, fast iteration, ship-and-learn

Bonus points

• Prior experience designing for D2C or marketplace channels (Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio)
• Existing relationships with Jaipur fabric mills, printers, and embroidery units
• Working knowledge of CLO 3D or similar
