Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Fashion Designer who can own end-to-end design for women's westernwearfrom trend research to final samplingwhile ensuring strong commercial appeal and premium finishing.

You will play a key role in shaping DELAN's collection direction, developing signature silhouettes, and maintaining consistent brand quality across all launches.

Qualifications

• Lead seasonal collection development (concept moodboards sketches tech packs sampling final range)
• Build strong design stories: themes, color palettes, fabric direction, prints, trims, and styling
• Design westernwear categories like dresses, co-ord sets, tops, shirts, trousers, denim, outerwear (based on brand need)
• Create CADs, flats, measurements, and detailed tech packs for production
• Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling, merchandising, and production for on-time outputs
• Own fit, finish, and quality: trials, corrections, approvals, final sign-off
• Track sales insights & customer feedback to improve future collections
• Support brand team with newness ideas, styling direction, and product presentation inputs

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of women's westernwear silhouettes, fits, and fabric behavior
• Excellent knowledge of garment construction, trims, prints, and finishing
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop for CADs & flats
• Strong capability in tech pack creation and guiding sampling accurately
• Vendor/sourcing understanding for fabrics and trims (India market advantage)
• Ability to design with premium positioning + commercial practicality

Experience and Qualification:

• 58+ years in women's westernwear fashion design (brand/retail/export house)
• Experience with Indian sampling/manufacturing units is a plus
• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design preferred
