Role Description

This is an internship role for a Fashion Designer based in Jaipur with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. The Fashion Designer intern will assist in designing and creating fashion collections that reflect the brand's ethos. Daily tasks include sketching designs, selecting textiles, collaborating with local artisans, incorporating traditional techniques, and ensuring aesthetic and functional garment fittings. The intern will contribute to the production process, assist in creative brainstorming, and maintain alignment with AnantVarn's commitment to sustainability and heritage.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Fashion Design and an understanding of contemporary trends
• Proficiency in working with Textiles, including knowledge of traditional Indian fabrics and craftsmanship
• Experience and attention to detail in Embroidery and incorporating cultural motifs
• Understanding of garment construction techniques, including Fitting and finishing
• A passion for sustainability, ethical fashion, and preserving cultural traditions
• Ability to collaborate with artisans and contribute creative design ideas
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred
• Proficiency in design software is an advantage
