Your impact:
As a Failure Analysis Technician/Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring reliability of Philips Emergency care products by troubleshooting product failures to the component level, contributing to root causes analysis and driving continuous improvement. Heartstream is launching a brand‑new Failure Analysis Lab in Bangalore, and this is a rare opportunity to be part of something from day one.
- Conduct failure analysis on Emergency Care products, utilizing structured problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot down to the component level.
- Operate test and characterization equipment such as oscilloscopes, microscopes, analyzers, digital multi-meters, and environmental chambers as necessary.
- Perform precision rework, including soldering and de-soldering of surface-mount components to validate failure modes and corrective actions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of investigative steps, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by fostering knowledge sharing and best practices to improve workflow efficiency and product reliability.

- We believe collaboration is better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers or suppliers locations.

You'll thrive in the role if:
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) failure analysis, rework or repair. Experience in medical devices within a regulated industry is a plus.
- You possess strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits and are proficient in using test equipment to troubleshoot electronic circuits. Knowledge or experience with test fixture development is a plus.
- You have strong written communication skills to clearly document investigation findings, can thrive in a collaborative environment, and can prioritize tasks in a dynamic work setting.
- You have a bachelor's or associate degree in electronics, electrical or a relevant engineering discipline or have equivalent work experience.
