Job Title / Designation: Faculty/Sr. Faculty - UI/UX Design
Job Description
Seamedu is seeking a creative and academically driven professional to join our Design Department at The NorthCap University, Gurgaon, as a Faculty/Sr. Faculty member specializing in UI/UX Design. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between industry practice and academic theory, mentor students in modern design methodologies, and contribute to the growth of the B.Des/M.Des programs. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality learning experience that prepares students for the rapidly evolving digital design landscape.
Specific Skill Set
Academic Delivery & Curriculum Development -
- Deliver engaging lectures and studio-based sessions on UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, and Prototyping.
- Update and standardize the UI/UX curriculum to reflect current industry trends, including AI in design, accessibility standards, and cross-platform systems.
- Mentor students through the design process—from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing.
Industry Integration
- Leverage your 4–5 years of industry experience to bring live projects and case studies into the classroom.
- Facilitate industry interactions, workshops, and guest sessions by tapping into professional networks within the Gurgaon/NCR tech hub.
- Guide students in building professional portfolios that meet the standards of top-tier design studios and tech firms.
Institutional Contribution
- Participate in departmental meetings, admissions processes, and university-level committees.
- Contribute to research, publications, or consultancy projects in the domain of User Experience and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
- Collaborate with other design verticals (Visual Communication/Animation) to foster a multidisciplinary learning environment.

Minimum Education Requirements
Academic Background:Master's Degree (Compulsory): M.Des, MFA, or equivalent in Design.
M.Des Preferred: Specialization in Interaction Design, UI/UX, or Communication Design is highly desirable.
A minimum of
4–5 years of total experience. Must have a balanced blend of
Industry Experience (working as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar) and
Teaching Experience at a reputable design institute.
Technical Proficiency
Any other skill set:
- Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Framer.
- Strong understanding of User Research methodologies, Design Thinking, and Usability Principles.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A student-centric approach with a passion for mentoring the next generation of designers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an academic ecosystem.
