Production & Plant Operations
- Oversee daily factory operations to achieve production targets, quality benchmarks, and delivery timelines.
- Drive production planning and control based on plant capacity and demand forecasts.
- Monitor downtime, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
- Lead injection moulding and blow moulding operations for rigid plastic packaging.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, SEDEX, BRCGS, EMS, OHSAS, SA8000, and IMS standards.
- Participate in internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to pharma packaging.
- Maintain high product quality standards meeting customer specifications.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
- Drive cost reduction in raw materials, utilities (steam, power), and process waste.
- Lead process optimization through HAZOP, JSA, risk assessments, and PSM practices.
- Promote continuous improvement culture using structured frameworks.
Project & CAPEX Management
- Lead CAPEX projects to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection, engineering approvals, and execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered within timelines and approved budgets.
Maintenance & Engineering Coordination
- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.
- Support troubleshooting and technical improvements.
- Oversee implementation of QMS, EMS, OHSMS, and safety systems.
Safety & Environment
- Develop and periodically review SOPs, SMP, JSA, and HAZOP studies.
- Lead process safety initiatives and support PHA activities.
- Drive safety audits, compliance checks, and corrective action tracking.
- Promote environmental sustainability and safe workplace practices.
Planning & Budgeting
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets covering consumption ratios, maintenance cost, and resource planning.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.
Customer Centricity
- Ensure quantity and quality compliance for internal and external customers.
- Manage customer complaints and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
- Promote customer-focused culture within plant operations.
People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams.
- Identify competency gaps and facilitate training programs.
- Encourage employee engagement, recognition, and grievance handling.
- Build strong second-line leadership and succession planning.
