Job Title: Facility Manager
Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and functionality of buildings and grounds. This role ensures that facilities are safe, efficient, compliant with regulations, and well-maintained to support employees, visitors, and organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day facility operations, including buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and building regulations
- Manage vendor contracts (cleaning, security, HVAC, landscaping, utilities, etc.)
- Develop and manage facility budgets and control operating costs
- Coordinate space planning, office moves, and renovations
- Monitor utilities usage and implement energy-efficiency initiatives
- Respond to facility emergencies and implement contingency plans
- Maintain accurate records, inspections, and maintenance reports
- Supervise facility staff and contractors as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in facilities or property management
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety)
- Familiarity with local safety codes and regulations
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and vendor management abilities
- Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office
Working Conditions
- May require on-call availability for emergencies
