About the Role:
The Facility Management person is responsible for ensuring seamless hospital infrastructure operations, statutory compliance, safety standards, and efficient management of support services. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, vendor governance, cost optimization, and delivering a safe and patient-centric environment aligned with organizational standards.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the maintenance of hospital buildings, medical and non-medical equipment, utilities, and surrounding premises to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules effectively to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
- Oversee housekeeping, security services, linen management, and biomedical waste (BMW) handling in compliance with statutory and quality standards.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols including fire safety, emergency preparedness, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and manage budgets for facility operations, maintenance activities, and capital expenditure projects while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Oversee contracts with external vendors, service providers, and contractors, ensuring adherence to SLAs and performance standards.
- Monitor utility consumption, energy usage, and waste management practices to drive operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
- Recruit, train, and manage facility and support staff while promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
- Conduct periodic audits, safety drills, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to hospital policies and accreditation standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering / Facility Management / Hotel Management / related discipline preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hospital facility operations, statutory compliance, and safety standards.
- Experience in vendor and contract management.
- Strong budgeting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective leadership and stakeholder coordination abilities.
