Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Facility Director to oversee all aspects of our healthcare facility's operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in P&L management, operational efficiency, and team development. This senior role is critical to driving business growth, ensuring clinical excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy:
  • Drive business expansion by hiring specialized doctor teams for key revenue-generating specialties.
  • Build strong relationships with consultant teams and facilitate the empanelment of visiting doctors to enhance specialties and increase OPD footfalls and revenue.
  • Profit Enhancement & Service Excellence:
  • Consistently improve top-line and EBITDA as per the annual budget.
  • Analyze the growth of different specialties, monitor key metrics like Average Revenue per Occupied Bed (ARPOB) and Average Revenue per Patient (ARPP), and track the payor mix.
  • Manage and optimize lead conversions, minimizing revenue leakages and ensuring profitability of all services.
  • Conduct feedback analysis with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement corrective and preventive actions for patient care services.
  • Cost Management:
  • Create pre-defined surgery packages in the Hospital Information System (HIS) to track and control consumption.
  • Negotiate the purchase of new medical equipment and consumables to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Optimize inventory levels for both pharmacy and non-pharmacy items to minimize stockouts and wastage.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Closely coordinate with department heads to streamline operations and implement cost-effective strategies.
  • Oversee inventory, conduct regular audits, and analyze consumption against best practices.
  • Manage capital expenditure (Capex) requirements, maintenance, and optimize utility consumption.
  • Ensure all statutory licenses and agreement renewals are up to date.
  • HR & People Management:
  • Optimize manpower utilization, reduce overtime, and develop nursing protocols.
  • Implement KRA goal setting for in-charges, foster employee engagement, and create career progression paths for staff.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, overseeing their performance, training, and development.
  • Quality & Clinical Governance:
  • Coordinate NABH surveillance audits and ensure timely closure of non-compliance reports.
  • Effectively monitor quality indicators, including Code Blue, medication errors, and infection control, with active participation in relevant committee meetings.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and generate required reports for PNDT, births, and deaths.
  • Marketing & Business Development:
  • Formulate and implement strategies to reach unexplored market segments and customer groups.
  • Organize promotional campaigns and technical presentations to build the brand and penetrate new markets.
  • Manage the doctor referral, corporate sales, and IVF marketing teams.
  • Revenue Assurance & Business Intelligence:
  • Proactively monitor billing transactions to prevent intentional or unintentional leakages.
  • Work with IT to create billing rule engines and improve HIS process flows, implementing controls to prevent and detect fraud.
  • Liaise with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to reduce unjustified deductions.
  • Security & Academics:
  • Author and enforce security procedures and protocols to ensure a safe and secure facility.
  • Organize Continuous Medical Education (CME) seminars and internal training programs for staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior role, with a strong focus on P&L, EBITDA, and revenue management.
