We are looking for a skilled Fabric Merchandiser with strong knowledge of knit fabrics to manage the complete merchandising cyclefrom sourcing to deliverywhile ensuring quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Fabric Sourcing & DevelopmentIdentify and source suitable knit fabrics as per buyer requirements.
Coordinate with mills, suppliers, and vendors for fabric development.
Evaluate fabric quality, GSM, composition, color fastness, shrinkage, hand feel, and other parameters.
2. Order ManagementHandle buyer inquiries, costing, and order confirmations.
Prepare T&A (Time & Action Plan) to ensure timely execution of orders.
Follow up with suppliers and production teams to maintain delivery schedules.
3. Communication & CoordinationCoordinate with international brands and buyers for requirements, approvals, and updates.
Maintain strong internal communication with production, QA, planning, and logistics teams.
Liaise with mills, knitting units, dyeing/printing units, and vendors for smooth order execution.
Manage daily updates on order status, samples, testing, and approvals.
Oversee lab dips, strike-offs, samples, and bulk approvals.
4. Quality AssuranceInspect fabric at various stagesgreige, knitting, processing, and finished stages.
Ensure all quality standards are met before dispatch.
Coordinate with the QA team for testing and compliance.
5. Documentation & ReportingMaintain all merchandising documents such as POs, specs, approvals, and shipment details.
Prepare weekly reports on order status, dispatches, and pending actions.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or related field.
34 years of experience as a Fabric Merchandiser, with knit fabric knowledge and experience preferably
Hands-on experience and technical understanding of knit fabric types, knitting machines, processing techniques, and textile production.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/CRM tools.
