Job Description:
The
Export Manager - Soya specifically plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the export activities of soya products for the organization. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with international clients, ensuring compliance with export regulations, and optimizing the supply chain for efficient export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement export strategies to drive sales and meet business objectives
- Oversee the complete export process, including documentation, logistics, and customs clearance
- Conduct market research to identify potential markets and assess demand for soya products
- Manage and negotiate with overseas distributors, agents, and partners
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and export control laws
- Optimize supply chain efficiency to minimize costs and lead times
- Resolve any issues or delays in the export process to maintain smooth operations
- Collaborate with production, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor and analyze export sales performance and market trends
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and strategic partners
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote soya products
- Prepare and present regular reports on export activities and performance metrics
- Coordinate with quality assurance and regulatory teams to meet export product standards
- Stay updated on market developments, competitor activities, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field
- Proven experience in export management, preferably in the soy/soya industry
- Strong knowledge of international trade practices, regulations, and documentation
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for dealing with international clients and partners
- Proficiency in supply chain management and logistics for export operations
- Ability to conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify opportunities and risks
- Familiarity with export finance, letters of credit, and payment terms
- Capability to lead a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding of quality standards, certifications, and compliance requirements for soya products
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for export documentation and analysis
- Adaptability and resilience to manage challenges in the dynamic global export market
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus for effective communication with international counterparts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate export documentation
- Ability to travel internationally as needed for client meetings, trade events, and market visits
