Expert Engineer, Database

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions aligned with business needs. This role will focus on Snowflake-based data modeling, ETL development, performance optimization, data security, and workflow automation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data models aligned with business requirements in Snowflake
• Create and manage database objects (tables, views, schemas) within Snowflake
• Develop and maintain robust ETL processes using Snowflake features and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
• Optimize queries and overall data warehouse performance for efficiency and scalability
• Implement and manage data security through user roles, privileges, and compliance measures
• Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and tools for seamless data flow
• Automate routine data workflows and orchestrate dependencies for timely data processing
• Monitor system health, conduct performance tuning, and perform regular maintenance including backups and patches
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business alignment and resolve complex data issues

About You:

• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and features
• Proficient in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization within Snowflake
• Experience with data modeling and designing efficient data architectures
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java
• Hands-on experience with ETL and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
• Strong understanding of data security and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
