Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled System Programmer with strong expertise in Db2 for z/OS to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, administering, and optimizing Db2 databases while ensuring system reliability, performance, and recovery capabilities.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, function level upgrades, and version upgrades for Db2 and related tools.
Administer and manage Db2 databases on z/OS systems.
Conduct regular database backups, housekeeping, and performance tuning activities.
Execute database recovery and disaster recovery (DRP) procedures when required.
Provide production support and ensure database availability and integrity.
Independently apply technical expertise and learned skills in the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Support copying of production data to lower environments for testing or development purposes.
