Executive / Sr. Executive – Payroll & Attendance

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Executive - Payroll & Attendance to manage end-to-end payroll processing, attendance compilation. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payroll execution, timely statutory filings, and compliance with labour laws while supporting smooth HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Attendance & Leave Management

  • Compile and validate attendance data from biometric/manual systems.
  • Reconcile attendance, overtime, leave, and shift data with payroll.
  • Coordinate with department heads for attendance discrepancies and approvals.

Statutory Compliance (PF & ESIC)

  • Manage Provident Fund and ESIC registrations, contributions, challans, and returns.
  • Ensure timely filing of monthly and annual statutory returns.
  • Handle inspections, audits, and queries related to PF & ESIC authorities.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor laws and statutory regulations.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with finance, HR, and external consultants/vendors.
  • Maintain statutory registers, payroll documents, and compliance records.
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory compliance.

Payroll Management

  • Handle end-to-end monthly payroll processing for employees.
  • Ensure accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements, and final pay-outs.
  • Process full & final settlements, bonuses, incentives, and arrears.
  • Maintain payroll records and generate MIS reports as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's degree in HR, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in payroll and statutory compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of Payroll processing, PF, ESIC and labor laws.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll software and MS Excel.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience handling payroll for mid to large-sized organizations with more than 2000 employees.
  • Exposure to audits and statutory inspections.
  • Knowledge of additional compliances (PT, LWF, and Gratuity) is a plus.
