Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Role
Operational Safety Inspections
Conduct routine safety inspections across airside operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational safety protocols.
Identify hazards during inspections and coordinate with relevant teams to address and mitigate safety risks effectively.
Incident Reporting And Follow-up
Document and report all safety-related incidents or near-misses, and support investigation processes by gathering information and preparing reports.
Follow up on reported incidents by coordinating with the Lead and other teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Emergency Readiness Coordination
Assist in the preparation and execution of emergency drills, ensuring all personnel are familiar with emergency response procedures.
Review and support the update of emergency action plans based on drill outcomes, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and operational needs.
Safety Communication And Awareness
Conduct regular briefings and OHS training sessions with airside staff to reinforce safety protocols, ensuring all personnel understand current safety guidelines.
Distribute updated safety information and reminders, promoting a culture of continuous safety awareness among all operational teams.
Data Management And Safety Analytics
Maintain accurate records of safety data, incidents, and inspections to support data-driven decision-making.
Perform basic analysis on safety trends to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement, providing insights to the Lead for strategic safety planning.
Conduct Safety Incident Investigations And Reporting
Conduct thorough investigations into safety incidents, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing root causes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified safety issues and prevent recurrences, ensuring continuous improvement.
Assist In Safety Policy Implementation
Support the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures across the airport, ensuring they are understood and followed by all staff.
Safety Management And Compliance
Support the development and execution of the Safety Management Plan (SMP) as per guidelines.
Help conduct safety inspections and hazard assessments, ensuring alignment with OSHAS and SMS standards.
Support Environmental Compliance
Assist in implementing the Environmental Management Plan by monitoring compliance activities.
Participate in environmental data collection, record-keeping, and reporting as required by ISO-14001.
Health Program Support
Contribute to health compliance initiatives by helping document and monitor health-related activities.
Ensure health records are maintained accurately and assist with non-conformity (NC) closures.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Safety, Aerospace Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field is essential.
Preferred Postgraduate Degree In Aviation Safety Or Safety Management.
Certification Requirements: Airport Safety and Operations Specialist (ASOS), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) , Project Management Professional (PMP), Aerodrome Safety Management System (SMS) Training by DGCA.
Work Experience
3-5 years of experience in aviation safety, airside operations, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
