Key Responsibilities
- Media Monitoring:
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive media contact database to ensure effective media outreach and monitoring.
- Track industry news and coverage, providing insights that support PR strategies.
- Media Outreach:
- Build and nurture relationships with media professionals, ensuring consistent communication and engagement.
- Proactively reach out to media outlets to pitch stories and secure coverage for clients.
- Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate in monthly and quarterly planning sessions to align PR strategies with client objectives.
- Assist in identifying key themes and messaging to maximize media impact.
- Content Drafting:
- Create compelling content, including media pitches and press releases, that align with brand messaging and media needs.
- Ensure all content is clear, concise, and tailored for target audiences.
- Reporting:
- Draft and present monthly and weekly reports summarizing PR activities, media coverage, and campaign performance.
- Utilize analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of PR initiatives and suggest improvements.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met.
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding PR efforts, providing updates and gathering feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably in an agency or corporate setting.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and effective content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
