The Executive - Operations - Container Freight Station - Vallur will be responsible for overseeing and streamlining various critical operations at the CFS. This includes managing gate entry and exit processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high customer satisfaction through meticulous data management and proactive support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee gate entry and exit processes at the CFS, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all CFS activities, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including transporters, customs authorities, and clients, to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure error-free system entries and timely reporting of CFS activities, utilizing relevant software and tools.
  • Prepare incentive calculations based on approved schemes and business inputs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze CFS performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Provide proactive support and assistance to internal teams and clients, addressing their queries and concerns promptly.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and implement necessary changes to CFS operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a CFS or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CFS operations, including gate processes, documentation, and weighbridge procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and systems for CFS operations, such as ERP or logistics management tools.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards for the logistics industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, able to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a customer-centric approach to work.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
