Job Purpose
The position is that of frontline technical personnel who would primarily be responsible for supporting the sale of wood coatings products ranging from melamine to high end PU coatings in defined geography by providing products trainings and briefings for all stakeholders, ensuring quality during application process and handling complaints thereby, assisting in achieving overall business objectives.

Business objective
- Aid frontline sales workforce in Retail and Project Sales by means of creating awareness on wood coatings product features and selling points.
Stakeholder Management
- Plan and conduct trainings on wood coatings products for Contractors, applicators, architects and furniture manufacturers to impart technical clarity and demonstrate product strengths.
- Influence existing dealers as well as non-APL dealers in expanding product portfolio and assist them in selling wood coatings products by means of technical briefing sessions through shop meets.
Market Intelligence
- Aid Marketing function and Research and Technology function in conducting product trials and building inferences on APL product strength vis-à-vis products in the market.
- Devise ways in which these product strengths can be communicated to the consumers and influencers.
Quality Assurance
- Provide on-site training as per requirements shared by verticals to ensure right application of products at the site
- Perform the quality checks of wood coatings sample panels before providing to stakeholders like contractors, architects etc.
- Design the collaterals of wood coatings products and improvise the content to highlight product strengths
Customer Complaints
- Assist all the verticals in handling complaints related to wood coatings products that could not be solved at their level
- Perform the analysis of customer complaints reported and design specific inputs and interventions to avoid reoccurrence of complaints
- Adherence to product training plan for stakeholders
- Product Technical assistance as per scope for sales support
- Resolution of complaints as per defined timelines

Qualifications
Role Requirements / Specifications
Essential
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma in Paint Technology
- Minimum of 50% throughout education without any backlogs
- Graduation must be through a full-time day course.
Desired
Applicants with an Engineering background (B. Tech/B.E./B. Pharma/Diploma) and MBA will not be considered.
Previous Experience
Desired
- Applicants with only a B.Sc. (Chemistry) Degree must have 1-3 years of experience in paint/chemicals industry
