External Job Description
Job purpose:
To support end‑to‑end Distribution Center (DC) operations including inventory control, receipts & dispatches, stock reconciliation, safety compliance, and coordination with CFA, transporters, and internal stakeholders—ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations.
Job Description
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receipts, storage, picking, and dispatches
- Ensure strict adherence to DC SOPs and Work Instructions
- Ensure 100% compliance with safety standards as per the Safety Management System of Asian Paints
- Overseeing the implementation of 5S activities in the warehouse and supervising Contract Workmen in terms of adherence to 5S norms
- Perform cycle counts and physical stock taking on a periodic basis to ensure inventory integrity
- Manage and coordinate CFA employees, transporters, and loaders for smooth day‑to‑day operations
- Drive cross‑functional coordination with plant departments and central teams
- Handle operational exceptions such as damaged inventory and engineering‑related breakdowns
- Maintain and develop MIS reports as per management requirements for timely and accurate updates
Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on optimization, NVA reduction, and cost efficiency
