Job Title: Executive - IT Helpdesk

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced: Executive - IT Helpdesk to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, managing and maintaining our end-user computing environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems and related infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of desktop hardware, software, and networking principles.
Responsibilities
- End-User Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Desktop Management: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and mobile devices.
- Operating Systems: Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems (primarily) and potentially Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS.
- Software Management: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage various desktop applications, including productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace), industry-specific software, and security tools.
- Hardware Maintenance: Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and repairs, coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs, and manage hardware inventory.
- User Account Management: Assist with user account creation, password resets, and access control based on company policies.
- Network Connectivity: Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues on end-user devices (wired and wireless).
- Security Compliance: Ensure desktop systems adhere to company security policies, including antivirus, patching, and data protection measures.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for common issues, solutions, and desktop configurations.
- Active Directory & Group Policy: Basic understanding and application of Active Directory user and computer objects, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for desktop management.
- Remote Support Tools: Utilize remote desktop support tools to diagnose and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with other IT team members and departments to resolve complex issues and implement IT projects.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses, hardware and software inventory management.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest desktop technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Participation in Projects: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects related to desktop infrastructure upgrades or deployments.
Qualifications And Skills
- Any graduate or equivalent
- IT Hardware Networking Diploma.
- 2 - 3 years of proven experience as a Desktop Engineer, IT Support Specialist, or a similar role.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows server operating system).
- Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace applications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with Active Directory user and computer management.
- Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Experience using remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Remote Desktop).
- Knowledge of antivirus software and other endpoint security measures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
