Role Purpose:

The Executive Human Resource at Orient Electric is responsible for managing and overseeing the Payroll and Compliances for workmen to ensure they align with the business goals, and fostering a positive work environment to promote employee satisfaction and productivity.

Work Environment/Location:

This role is based in Faridabad and requires in-office work. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant and dynamic work environment at Orient Electric.

Payroll Specialist

A Payroll Specialist would be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring that contract workmen are paid accurately and on time. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliances including Contract Labour Act and diligent in presenting data and MIS

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing
  • Calculate workmen wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Process payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis as required.
  • Ensure timely submission and distribution of payables and invoices made by the vendor .
  • Compliance and Tax Reporting
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with statutory compliance and regulations.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns and related reports, such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and employment regulations.
  • Data Management
  • Maintain accurate workmen payroll records, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
  • Update records for new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  • Audit payroll records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • People Support
  • Respond to workmen inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, or discrepancies.
  • Educate employees on how to access payroll information and explain payrolls details.
  • Collaboration
  • Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and budget alignment.
  • Support audits and provide payroll-related documentation as requested.

Required Skills And Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of compliance , payroll systems, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
