About the University

CEPT University, established in 1962, consists of the Faculties of Architecture, Planning, Technology, Design, Management, and CEPT Foundation Program. These Faculties function as a collaborative of full-time faculty members and highly engaged practitioners who share teaching and institutional responsibilities.

About the position

The Faculty of Planning focused on planning in the public realm was established in 1972. CEPT University and more particularly Faculty of Planning are engaged in educating professionals equipped for urban transformation.

CEPT University invites applications for the position of Executive, Faculty Admin for Faculty of Planning. The candidate will support the day-to-day administrative and academic operations of the Faculty of Planning and assist in coordinating various activities related to faculty programs and institutional events. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with students, faculty members and internal departments, to ensure smooth functioning of the Faculty of Planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement administrative systems and procedures and streamline processes to improve efficiencies.
  • Assist in managing activities and events of the Doctoral Office including admissions, examinations, guest lectures, reviews, symposiums, BYOR, convocation, and other related activities.
  • Managing the student life cycle from registration/admission to graduation/leaving.
  • Manage emails and maintain office records, registration portal, academic portal, admission portal, Visiting Faculty/Academic Associate/Teaching Associate related engagements, marks/grade report, etc.
  • Maintain student records, update participant files and information as needed, as well as assist with necessary tracking using Student Access (data management system).
  • Respond to and resolve student academic issues, queries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Preparing and maintaining Data and Reports for information systems.
  • Coordinating and managing various day-to-day activities at Faculty and University level.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Business Management is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in administrative, academic, or operations support roles.

Expertise required

  • The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in the English language.
  • Strong time management and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork.
  • Self-Motivated and should have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible with work timing, should be comfortable in extended working time.
  • Work in a particular department, college, university, or aspect of student life to meet student needs on a large scale.
  • Showcasing a positive attitude and outlook in dealing with students, and faculties under conflicting and demanding situations.
