Role Description
- Execute equity, ETF, and equity-derivatives trades in line with firm strategy and market conditions.
- Monitor real-time market developments, news flow, liquidity trends, and order-book dynamics.
- Optimize trade execution using algorithms, smart-order routing, and direct market access tools.
- Manage intraday risk positions, ensuring adherence to risk limits and compliance standards.
- Work closely with research, sales, and portfolio management teams to identify and act on trading opportunities.
- Analyze trade performance, slippage, and transaction cost metrics to improve execution quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, exchanges, and liquidity providers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA, MiFID II depending on region).
- Prepare and present periodic trading reports and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, related field.
- 25 years of experience in equity trading, market making, execution trading, or related roles (adjustable).
- Strong understanding of equity markets, microstructure, order types, and trading algorithms.
- Proficiency with trading systems (Bloomberg, Reuters, FIX engines, EMS/OMS platforms).
