Key Responsibilities
- Regular interaction & assist Zone leader, Functional head/Department head and Factory Manager at unit level on EHS requirements such as Factories, Pollution, Boilers, PESO, Fire department etc and EHS Data submission to Business/Marketing team as per their requirement.
- Conduct daily & periodic EHS inspection and identifies the critical issues/hazards/unsafe conditions/acts and follow ups with appropriate divisions/departments for closure of observations on time.
- Investigate all accidents/Incidents including unsafe acts/conditions, near miss incidents and implement the recommendations.
- Implement EHS procedure & maintain records/documents on emergency response plan (Mock drill/Fire drill), work permit, Management of Change, safety committee meeting, audits/inspections, plastic & e-waste rules, water, air, wastewater, and hazardous waste discharges, etc.
- Monitor & maintain records/documents pertaining to Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) & Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operation.
- Monitor & ensure compliance to fire safety system including fire protection & detection system of unit along with the concerned department.
- Active participation in audits conducted by internal or external parties and maintain compliance with respect to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 etc.
- Coordinate & Conduct EHS training programs such as safety, fire safety and Induction etc in units for worker & contract employees. Conduct EHS Programs at unit level such as National Safety Week, World Environment Day Celebration and Fire Safety day etc.
- Procurement of all EHS related items/services.
- To carry out any additional responsibilities pertaining to EHS assigned from time to time.

- Knowledge on Industrial Safety Management & Proficiency in Local Languages.
- Knowledge on Water and Air Acts, The Environment Protection Act with rules & Regulatory Requirements.
- Knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 etc. and Auto Caad.
- Computer Knowledge – MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Educational Qualifications
BE/Diploma in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical or Environment, B. Sc/ M. Sc in Chemistry or Environment Science.
Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized institute either from Central Labour Institute, Chennai, or Regional Labour Institute
Experience Level (If applicable)
3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Safety Management or Environment, Health, and Safety system.
