As an Executive Director †Utilities Operations Readiness, Utilities Governance & Utilities Business Enablement in Payments Utilities, you will be the leader who turns strategy into results across a high-visibility payments organization. You will lead enterprise operations readiness, governance, and business enablement to deliver critical payment capabilities with speed, quality, and control.

You will set the operating rhythm, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure our governance forums and evidence are inspection-ready. You will strengthen controls and audit readiness while reducing operational friction through automation, analytics, and data-driven decisions that improve accuracy and cut manual touchpoints. You will shape the organization's workplace strategy and physical footprint, orchestrate senior visitor and client engagements, and lead workstream governance that keeps high-priority initiatives aligned and on track.

Partnering across technology, product, operations, risk, compliance, and leadership, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and a force-multiplier across the organization. This is an opportunity to shape how we operate at scale.

Job Responsibilities:

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master's degree or Master of Business Administration degree
  • 15 years+ of leadership experience managing teams and operations functions in a large, regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology operations readiness and operating model execution at scale
  • Demonstrated experience building and running governance and controls frameworks, including scorecards and transparent reporting
  • Proven ability to run complex cross-functional programs with senior stakeholders across technology, product, operations, controls, and regional partners
  • Strong audit readiness discipline, including evidence management and timely closure of control gaps
  • Strong analytical and process optimization skills with a track record of delivering measurable efficiency outcomes
  • Experience using analytics and automation tools to improve execution and decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create crisp narratives for senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and align competing priorities with sound risk and control judgment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Payments domain experience, including end-to-end payment flows and the downstream impact of changes on settlement and reconciliation
  • Professional certification in operations readiness, project management, or risk management
  • Experience supporting senior leaders as a chief of staff or business manager, including operating rhythm and stakeholder communications
  • Experience leading business enablement and Corporate Center functions such as seating planning, senior visitor and client visit coordination, and workstream governance
  • Experience leading governance checkpoints to improve submission quality and decision outcomes
  • Experience launching and sustaining cross-utility control workstreams such as access governance
  • Experience delivering automation that reduces manual operational touchpoints and improves accuracy
  • Experience building a continuous improvement culture through structured enablement and adoption discipline

Experience using data analytics to proactively identify issues, mitigate risk, and improve performance
