Job Description

Function: Copywriting, Brand Development, Creative Campaigns

Reporting to: Brand Design Manager

Location: Bangalore (Work from office only)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

About the Brand Design Team

The Brand Design team is Vedantu's in-house creative powerhouse - shaping the brand's identity and storytelling across platforms and formats. From logos, videos, and brand campaigns to digital assets, OOH, and social media, the team comprises talented graphic designers, writers, filmmakers, editors, and creative strategists. We're pushing the boundaries of how an education brand is seen, felt, and remembered.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an Executive Copywriter to join our Brand Design team and play a key role in shaping Vedantu's brand voice across formats. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with experience in creating engaging, impactful copy for brand-building campaigns and marketing collateral.

Working closely with design, motion graphics, and video teams, you will bring the brand's message to life through compelling writing. This role also involves market research, content optimization, and ensuring brand consistency across communication channels. The ideal candidate should also have the curiosity to experiment with AI-powered writing and ideation tools to improve speed, quality, and creative exploration - while maintaining strong brand consistency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Copywriting & Content Creation

Create engaging and impactful copy for brand-building initiatives across digital platforms, social media, websites, and more

Write copy across formats including advertisements, email campaigns, web pages, social media, and offline marketing materials

Provide proofreading and quality checks on all copy to ensure clarity, correctness, and alignment with objectives

Concepting & Campaign Support

Collaborate with graphic designers, editors, animators, and the wider creative team to develop strong narratives and campaign ideas

Assist with content strategy and contribute to brainstorming for new projects and campaigns

Develop concepts and scripts for video and motion graphic content that reflect Vedantu's brand ethos

Research, Consistency & Optimization

Research trends in education and digital media to keep content fresh, innovative, and relevant

Ensure all copy follows brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone of voice across channels

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of brand strategies and campaigns

Tool Adoption (Including AI)

Explore and adopt AI-assisted workflows where appropriate (e.g., faster ideation, alternate hooks, headline variations, script drafts, tone experimentation, SEO support, and grammar polishing), while ensuring human judgment, factual accuracy, and brand safety

Stay updated with emerging AI tools and creative workflows to improve efficiency and elevate writing quality

Key KRAs

High-quality, on-brand writing across multiple formats with minimal rework Strong contribution to campaign concepts, narratives, and creative routes Consistent tone of voice across platforms and deliverables

Accuracy in proofreading and language quality (grammar, clarity, structure) Timely delivery of copy as per campaign timelines and stakeholder needs Effective use of modern content workflows (including AI-assisted iteration) to improve speed and output quality

Skills & Qualifications

Must Have

24 years of experience in copywriting in a brand design, marketing, or advertising environment

Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft creative narratives Proven ability to write across formats including digital, print, and video scripts Strong understanding of brand positioning and translating brand voice into impactful copy

Collaborative mindset with experience in cross-functional creative teams Familiarity with SEO best practices, digital marketing strategies, and content trends Strong research ability and adaptability to new industry trends

Good to Have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Advertising, or related disciplines

Experience working in EdTech, media production, or creative agencies A strong portfolio showcasing work across digital and print mediums

Familiarity with content management systems and media development tools Familiarity with AI-powered writing/ideation tools and responsible usage in a brand context
