Job Description
Project Planning and Execution
- Plan, schedule, and execute engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities.
- Ensure project objectives are met within defined timelines and budgets.
Team Management
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, procurement specialists, construction professionals, and subcontractors.
- Ensure seamless coordination and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate smooth communication, timely deliveries, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance and Control
- Implement quality management systems and conduct regular inspections.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Cost Management
- Monitor project costs and track expenses effectively.
- Optimize procurement and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining profitability.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement safety protocols ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Contract Management
- Manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and ensure contractual compliance.
Technical Expertise
- Apply engineering principles and industry best practices to guide project decisions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure smooth execution.
Solar PV Plant Execution
- Oversee site surveys and coordinate with design, civil, and installation teams for infrastructure like roads, drainage, and module installation.
- Manage DC trenching, cable installations (AC/DC), SCB structures, inverters, switchgear panels, and grounding.
Technical Tools and Proficiency
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Katia, PVsyst, WindPro, Solar GIS, Micro-siting for wind projects, feasibility studies, asset management, and project management software.
Project Evaluation and Analytics
- Prepare RFPs, conduct vendor negotiations, evaluate technical specs, and perform due diligence.
- Conduct techno-commercial analyses, monitor actual vs. estimated performance, and suggest system improvements.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare SLDs, plant layouts, tender specs, BOM, and detailed engineering documents.
- Develop project reports, troubleshoot site issues, and provide monthly quality and performance analysis.
Performance Monitoring
- Conduct monthly analysis of plant performance ratio, availability, expected vs. actual generation.
- Implement preventive and corrective action checklists to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
Construction Support
- Monitor construction progress, resolve site issues, and manage vendor selection and technical comparisons.
- Ensure timely project execution.
Education:
- Education - Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (Masters in Renewable Energy or MBA is a plus)
