Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for an Event Manager. The Event Manager will be responsible for organizing, planning, and executing events that align with the mission of connecting people to India's diverse crafts and artisan communities. Key tasks will include developing event concepts, sourcing vendors, managing budgets, overseeing logistics, coordinating with partner organizations, and ensuring smooth event operations. This role also involves fostering long-term relationships with clients and ensuring the successful promotion of Tisser's values and products through events.

Qualifications

  • Strong event planning and management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in vendor coordination and on-site event supervision
  • Experience in marketing and promotional strategies
  • Ability to align with Tisser's mission and vision, and an understanding of Indian handicrafts and culture
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to manage unexpected challenges
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in working with social enterprises or artisan-led initiatives is a plus
