Description
We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain automated systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation tools, programming, and control systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing, IT systems, or business processes.
- Develop, test, and maintain scripts, programs, and workflows for automation using tools like PLC, SCADA, RPA, or industrial robotics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and optimize automation solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis of automation systems and workflows.
- Conduct system integration, testing, and validation of automated processes.
- Monitor performance, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement measures.
- Maintain technical documentation for automation processes, scripts, and configurations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality protocols.
- Evaluate new automation technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and technologies such as PLC, SCADA, RPA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere), robotics, or scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, VBScript).
- Understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design scalable and efficient automated solutions.
- Familiarity with database management, data logging, and reporting for automation systems.
- Good documentation, technical writing, and reporting skills.
- Team collaboration skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary projects.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Automation Engineering.
Preferred Experience
- 5 to 7 years in automation engineering, industrial automation, IT process automation, or robotics.
- Experience with industrial robotics, PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA/HMI systems.
- Exposure to AI/ML-based automation, IoT-enabled systems, or smart manufacturing is a plus
