Role Overview
The EUC Engineering Support Application Packaging & HAM role is responsible for engineering, packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management of end-user applications, along with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) activities. This role provides Level 2 engineering support to ensure standardized, secure, and efficient application delivery to end-user devices.
The engineer works closely with Service Desk, EUC operations, Infrastructure, Security, and Governance teams to support consistent end-user experience and asset visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Packaging & Deployment
- Design, package, and maintain standard end-user application packages.
- Support application deployment, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Ensure application compatibility with operating systems and device standards.
- Troubleshoot application deployment and installation issues escalated from L1 teams.
2. EUC Engineering & Standardization
- Maintain standardized application baselines for end-user devices.
- Support OS build images and application bundling activities.
- Work with security and infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet compliance requirements.
- Support rollout of new applications and updates during transition or change activities.
3. Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Support end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle management, including:
- Asset onboarding and inventory updates
- Asset refresh and retirement processes
- Asset reconciliation and data accuracy
- Maintain asset records in ITSM or asset management tools.
- Support audits and compliance requirements related to hardware assets.
4. Incident, Request & Escalation Support
- Provide Level 2 support for EUC-related incidents and service requests.
- Resolve issues related to application installation, packaging, and device configurations.
- Escalate complex issues to EUC L3 or Infrastructure teams with proper documentation.
- Coordinate with Service Desk and Command Center for issue tracking and resolution.
5. Documentation & Knowledge Contribution
- Create and maintain EUC-related SOPs, application packaging guides, and standards.
- Update knowledge articles for Service Desk and EUC teams.
- Support knowledge transfer and cross-team enablement.
- Ensure documentation remains current and aligned with deployed standards.
Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in application packaging and deployment.
- Understanding of:
- End-user operating systems (Windows primarily)
- Application lifecycle management
- Experience with hardware asset management concepts and processes.
- Familiarity with EUC security and compliance considerations.
- Exposure to endpoint management tools is preferred.

Experience
- 47 years of experience in EUC engineering or desktop engineering roles.
- Experience working in L2 EUC support environments.
- Exposure to enterprise or managed services environments.
- Experience supporting large user bases is an advantage.
