About The Opportunity
Operating in the IT services & data management sector, this role supports enterprise-grade data integration, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives for large-scale customers. The position is focused on assuring data quality and reliability across ETL pipelines that feed reporting, analytics, and downstream applications.
Role: ETL Test Engineer
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive ETL test plans and test cases to validate source-to-target data mappings and business rules.
- Perform data reconciliation and root-cause analysis to identify and document data defects across batch and real-time ETL workflows.
- Create and run SQL/PLSQL queries and UNIX scripts for data validation, sampling, and automation of test tasks.
- Validate data transformations, aggregations, and lineage in data warehouse / data lake environments; verify incremental loads and CDC processes.
- Coordinate with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to confirm requirements, clarify expected outputs, and triage defects using JIRA or similar tools.
- Execute performance and regression tests for ETL jobs, maintain test artefacts, and contribute to test automation frameworks where applicable.
