ETL tester

Responsibilities of the role include Database Testing ETL Testing and Report testing is a must to have Translating business and systems requirements into test strategy test scenarios and test plans Designing developing documenting and maintaining automated tests and tools Adhering to Quality Engineering Practices in development of automation scripts Understand and apply BDD TDD design concepts to test software solutions Adhere to industry standard best practices in Quality Engineering Delivering accurate and maintainable code for automation and software utilities Measure and report key QA metrics Collaborating with other technical resources to suggest improvements for processes best practices and standards Identify opportunities to improve maintainability of automation platform

Technical skills include 5 to 8 years experience predominantly in software test Quality Engineering bachelors or masters degree in computer science computer engineering or related field deep expertise in ETL testing hands on software development in test experience including 4 plus years of using object oriented languages like Java or Python 5 plus years of automation scripting experience not record and playback good understanding of BDD CI CD and DevOps concepts is mandatory

Expertise required includes PL SQL experience in writing complex queries experience in ETL testing define ETL testing process
