Job Summary:
The ETL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust and efficient ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to integrate data from diverse source systems into a Teradata data warehouse. This role requires strong expertise in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and performance tuning within the Teradata environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data into the Teradata data warehouse.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading in the Teradata environment.
- Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to gather and analyze data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes and SQL queries to ensure efficient data loading and optimal query performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, ETL processes, and data quality.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy throughout the ETL process.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and data models.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Work closely with data modelers and database administrators to ensure the scalability and performance of the Teradata data warehouse.
